Meals

Enjoy a taste of Japan’s ancient capital with our body-healthy temple cuisine

Using Shojin broth made from kelp, shiitake mushrooms, kanpyo, soybeans and others, we have created several original Shojin dishes such as the “Yuba-don”, which is copiously garnished with yuba, a specialty of Kyoto, but also Shojin Gozen and Shojin curry for your taste enjoyment. Each dish of Shojin cuisine (vegetarian cuisine originally created for the restricted diet of Buddhist monks) is prepared with care by using seasonal local ingredients.
Come and enjoy the healthy taste of Kyoto temple’s cuisine.
